I have always been obsessed with skin care and makeup, but sometimes I just love a certain product/brand so much that I tend not to stray too far. Times, they are a changing! I have stepped out of my comfort zone and am trying something new 🙂 CLARINS!
I have tried Clarins products before and was always quite pleased but for whatever reason, none of them made it into my “must haves” list.
I always hear such great things about Clarins, so I thought I would give them another go. Off to the Clarins counter I went and as usual at beauty counters, I was greeted by a pleasant, beautiful woman that was more than happy to help me pick out a few great products.
~What I got, what I think so far and official write up from Clarins~
Skin Illusion Natural Radiance Light Reflecting Foundation SPF 10 $39USD
So far I LOVE this foundation! It is very light but covers very well. I never feel like I have heavy makeup on.
This light-reflecting, oil-free and hydrating foundation perfectly combines mineral and plant ingredients to create a naturally radiant complexion with light to medium coverage. Clarins Light-Optimizing+ Complex and Pink Opal Pigments, combined with a unique blend of ingredients, continuously hydrates and protects skin resulting in a beautifully radiant and perfectly even complexion.
Everlasting Compact Foundation SPF 15 $40USD
I was a bit concerned with this product at first, at the fear of it being to heavy as it is wet/dry. To my surprise, it is so light and because it has the wet aspect to it, it does not leave a powdery look to your skin. I am really happy with this product.
A high-performance foundation with an ultra-fine, silky-soft, wet and dry texture which guarantees flawless make-up for 15 hours non-stop. The complexion is luminous and even, fine lines and small imperfections are concealed. The skin is moisturized, supple and comfortable. Make-up colour remains fresh-looking and radiant all day long.
Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch $35USD
To me, this primer is exactly the same as Benefits Pores no More primer. It Primes, so I guess I like it like. Primers are boring to talk about :p
Award-winning primer is the perfect combination of make-up and skin care. With an ultra-light texture, this wrinkle-smoothing formula leaves an imperceptible veil over the skin’s surface—filling-in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and pores. Skin becomes even, flawless and foundation-ready. Use alone or mix with your foundation.
Instant Smooth Line Correcting Concentrate $35USD
The sales lady recommended this for under my eyes to keep the makeup from seeping into the lines. That’s right…I call them lines NOT wrinkles! 😉 Anyway, I’ve applied it a couple of times so far and I don’t really see the benefits. I think it’s just a fancy primer in a nice twist tube. I will keep using it since I have it, and I will apply to one eye to see if there’s a difference between the two. I will make sure I include it when I do a proper review.
This magic corrector is rich in dermaxyl ®, a line correcting peptide, that can be applied directly onto lines, wrinkles and enlarged pores throughout the day to keep your complexion smoother and brighter with instant and long-lasting results. Perfect to diminish the appearance of facial expression lines with line-filling Acacia Micro Pearls. Slanted tip makes it easy for targeted application.
“Special” Eye Contour Balm $36USD
This eye moisturizer is SUPER moisturizing! It keeps my eyes looking fresh all day. It does not leave a greasy feel. I bought it because I noticed that my eyes seemed a bit dry these days. Not usually a concern of mine, but our skin is always changing so make sure you update your products as needed.
Clarin’s creamy-rich, age-fighting balm — including a “special’ blend of Gingko Biloba, Chicory extract, Aloe Vera and Cereal Seeds — smoothes the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and crows feet while protecting the delicate skin on eyelids and eye contours. Works day and night to help keep skin smooth. What a comfort!
Eye Revive Beauty Flash $46USD
I bought this just for fun. I have the beauty flash balm as well (for the face). Does it really work? Well, I’ve used it twice now, and I can’t say I’ve noticed any sort of dramatic difference, but then again, maybe if I didn’t have it on I would have looked worse! haha. I will have to wait and apply on a day when my eyes are looking really drab to see if I notice a difference.
Clarins’ quick ‘lift” for tired eyes — with refreshing Rose Petals, Lily and White Tea extracts — helps to minimize the look of dark circles, tighten eye contours, and de-puff. Hydrates and protects the delicate skin around eyes, while chasing-away the appearance of fine lines. Keep it in your emergency kit.

I love this haul! Clarins hauls make me super happy 🙂 The One Step Exfoliating cleanser is amazing. And the Instant smooth concentrate pen, is the same formula as the primer in the jar, but it is 20x more concentrated with hyaluronic acid, so it draws more moisture into the fine lines, thus plumping them up. It’s a good product for nights out, but wasn’t a must have for me. If you need a new sunscreen though, they have their UV40’s that are tinted now. They are incredible!
Love Your Blog!

I try to use natural products when I can as well. I make home made bodycare when I get a chance. I love making whipped body butter and body scrubs. I have mastered a perfect seaweed body scrub, I use it every day! Hmmm…I should write a post on it! Your blog is wonderful by the way 🙂
