My current obsession is all things blush! Creams, sticks, tints or powders, whatever it may be…I have to have it! This Limited Edition Palette from Hourglass was no exception. Truth be told, this is the first Hourglass product I have tried. The beautiful soft gold compact is what drew me in. It is so elegant and not to mention it looks fabulous laying on my vanity 🙂
This Palette comes with three shades (Luminous Flush (champagne rose), Incandescent Electra (cool peach) and Mood Exposure (soft plum).
I must admit that I didn’t have high expectations for this product. Not for any particular reason other than a hunch, but holy cow was I wrong! They are so incredibly pigmented. They are buildable too but definitely unnecessary as they go on with a punch the first time around.
It’s staying power is less than perfect as it is milled so incredibly fine so I would suggest setting it with a setting spray to ensure all day wear.
All three of the shades have a slight shimmer effect with the middle one (Incandescent Electra) being the most glittery of the bunch. Unfortunately no matter what I did, I was unable to capture the glitter in the photos 😦
This is a Multi purpose brush, to be used to apply foundation and/or blush, contouring and highlighting. I was on the hunt for a new blush brush (since my new obsession requires multiple brushes too 😀 ). It had amazing reviews and I figured since I picked up the palette, why not enjoy the matching brush! I have not used this for the purpose of applying foundation as I prefer a brush with shortly hairs for such purpose, but for blush I can tell you, it is phenomenal! It picks up just the right amount of product, it is super soft and dense and feels oh so good on your skin 🙂 Not only functional, this brush is beautifully designed and weighted just right.
