As many of you can relate I’m sure, finding that perfect concealer is a tall order. For some reason, while the rest of the makeup world has conquered the art of invisible foundation, waterproof mascara and lets not leave out the magic of the stay all day lipstick, somehow concealer has fallen through the cracks (no pun intended 😉 ) and not a single brand has been able to get this just right. From too thick to too thin, creasing, caking and moving etc. I have tried them all and while I have my favorites, even those land in the ‘best of the worst’ category. Simply put, I have yet to find that holy grail concealer that stands above all else, or one that even comes close to holy grail status.
As someone with major dark circles I can assure you that I have tried almost every concealer product out there from MAC Pro Longwear, Nars Creamy Radiant, Clé de Peau Beauté Concealer and everything in between. I use these products daily and while there are days that I am pleased with the results, most days I spend cursing in front of the mirror wishing one of these products would just cover my dark circles without looking like a hot mess.
So while I was extremely skeptical when first trying the MUFE Ultra HD Invisible Cover Concealer I was also intrigued as their recent launch of the Ultra HD Foundation proved to be a huge success and held true to all of it’s claims. (Completely invisible under the latest, ultra-magnified resolution, these innovative formulas look completely natural on camera—and to the naked eye.) See Review HERE. Same as it’s counter part, the Ultra HD Invisible Cover Concealer is also designed for 4K technology which is a truly remarkable benefit in todays digital era.
So my first impression was that the tube was extremely small. However, I was pleasantly surprises that you need just the smallest amount. A rice sized amount is plenty sufficient to cover one eye, if not both, so the tube will certainly last a while.
It glides on so smooth and melts into the skin as if there is no product on at all, with the effect of a full coverage concealer. This stuff is amazing!
It is so invisible that I feel confident applying just a touch in the morning without any other makeup on to take the kids to school and run a few errands. It makes all the difference and you can’t even tell you are wearing anything!
The Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Concealer is available in 10 shades and is broken down into two categories as shown below;
Color Correctors shades (Peach Shades to neutralize dark circles)
- R20: Light Skintones
- R22: Light to Medium Skintones
- R30: Medium Skintones
- R32: Medium to Tan Skintones
- R40: Tan Skintones
Concealer shades (Yellow Shades to brighten and awaken under eye area)
- Y21: Light Skintones
- Y23: Light to Medium Skintones
- Y31: Medium Skintones
- Y33: Medium to Tan Skintones
- Y41: Tan Skintones
I chose the Corrector shade in R40 because for me, before all else, my dark circles need to be neutralized! While my usual routine consists of foundation then concealer, I have been applying this corrector first, followed by foundation and I need nothing else! The peach shade does a fabulous job at neutralizing my dark circles so I don’t find the need to add any more products. However, MUFE does recommend using a corrector shade first to neutralize, followed by a conceal shade to brighten for the ultimate flawless complexion.
The concealer does last most of the day, and with minimal creasing. (The least amount of creasing I have yet to see in a concealer) It is extremely light weight and blends seamlessly.
I am ending this post with a tremendous thank you to Make Up For Ever for creating a revolutionary product that with out a doubt has taken the holy grail status for concealers!
Cheers, Victoria!

I also have dark circles and have pretty much given up on finding a concealer for them. Another problem of mine is creasing. I have extremely oily skin, so no concealer lasts under my eyes. So frustrating! I’m curious how well this concealer holds up against oily skin.

I have oily skin but under my eyes is so dry. Considering I feel it melts into the skin rather than sit on it, I think this may just do the trick for you!

I used to use that a while back but found it to be too heavy once my eyes started to show some age 😣
