A couple of weeks ago, I had the privilege to attend a fabulous Clarins Beauty Event hosted by non other than Dave Lackie and Nina Westbury! I just love these events! They are so much fun getting to meet other bloggers, media reps and anyone who just loves beauty! Drinks, dinner, great conversation and being surrounded by beautiful makeup and skincare makes it a beauty lovers dream!
Dinner was delicious and so well presented that I couldn’t resist taking photos! Maybe there is something to this food blogging thing! 😉 The table was incredibly long and lined with the most beautiful flower arrangements! If you were following along my tweets of the night then you are aware that I was trying to smuggle them out! Hehe!
As usual, Dave Lackie, editor of BEAUTY the guide and Cityline beauty expert along with Nina Westbury, a UK celebrity makeup artist were gracious hosts and made the night full of laughter and fun all while sharing their beauty expertise with plenty of tips and tricks! They truly are such kind, down to earth people and I am so thankful to be a part of their Vancouver visits!
The star of the show was Clarins new Mission Perfection Serum, a ground breaking dark spot serum capable of correcting pigmentation disorders for a unified, luminous skin, without altering the natural skin tone. I have been using it for a couple weeks now and I am in LOVE!!!! The texture is amazing, and the results are unbelievable! I will do a full review soon!
Of course a beauty event wouldn’t be complete without a fabulous gift bag filled with sparkly new products from the brand, and I wanted to share my gift bag with you! My skin is a catastrophic mess. I started having serious acne for the first time ever after I turned 29 last fall, resulting in prescription acne creams. I’ve always had sensitive skin, now it’s got even more redness, it’s dry except for my t zone which could supply an oil factory, still have pimples, and I have always had horrible dark circles. Luckily I discovered the Urban Decay Naked Peach color corrector and my eyes look better than they ever have! The rest, well.. It’s a journey. Also, I’m getting more peach fuzz as I get older. Wth? I look like a spray painted peach whenever I try to use foundation and I’m so not wanting to shave my entire face. I don’t wear makeup every day and it sounds like a lot of upkeep. Ugh. I’m just getting back into the beauty game as it’s something that makes me feel good and I enjoy, but I am definitely feeling like a fish out of water relearning everything.
