REVIEW | Annabelle Spring and Summer Collection 2016

Get lips that WOW and eyes that POP with Annabelle’s new Spring and Summer launch which encompasses the essence of spring. I couldn’t be more excited to add some bright, bold colors into my makeup rotation!

Annabelle BIGSHOW Lacquer Review

The Annabelle BIGSHOW Lacquers promises high pigment, long lasting color and high shine. Personally, I think they have hit the nail on the head! It is everything they claim and maybe even more! Annabelle is long known for their incredible BIGSHOW glosses and their new addition, the lacquered range, is a welcomed friend.

Now before we get too excited, there are a few things I’d like to mention. While I do love these glosses, they have a slight metallic finish. This is enough for me to steer clear of these during the day and keep them in reserve for the evening. Not a big deal, but worth the mention.

Each shade also has a light shimmer. I quite like the shimmer as I find so many lipsticks and glosses these days are matte, or suede, or satin…blah, blah, blah, and while I like them, having some shimmery glosses is a nice change and a fabulous addition to my collection.

They have a very faint watermelon scent to them. I don’t mind the smell but it does make me feel a bit childish to be wearing a fruity gloss like when I was 12 and my back pack was filled with lip smackers 🙂

They aren’t sticky on the lips and wore very comfortably for a few hours and my god, the pigment is incredible for a gloss!

I am going to go on record here and say that performance wise, the Annabelle BIGSHOW Lacquers easily stack up to high end brands and with a price of only $9.95 on the Annabelle website these are definitely a must have!

Annabelle Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner Review

With the hot months approaching, using a water proof liquid liner is a must. And just in time, Annabelle has launched Waterproof Liquid Eyeliners in 3 shades. A black, bronze and this AMAZING blue shade! These liners are indeed waterproof and will last you all day until you remove at night.

While Annabelle claims that these have a glossy finish, I find them to be more of a metallic with the exception of Blue Spark which dries matte! Each shade has a slight shimmer effect to them which I really like.

The slim, precision tip makes application super easy, even for beginners. I find using smaller stokes rather than one long one is best with the thinner formula. I really like the formula as it is thin enough so that it doesn’t clump up but not too thin that it takes multiple layers to get the desired look or color pay off. These are simply gorgeous, highly pigmented and I do hope that Annabelle creates a few more shades in this line. An emerald perhaps?? YAS! *Hint Hint Annabelle 😉 Another bargain for the low price of $8.95. Check them out on the Annabelle website HERE.
